Tell us a little bit about yourself...
Hey! My name is Bryce Paul, I am 31 years old, born and raised in California, now based out of Pensacola, Florida. I am a professional musician and bass player for the Swedish metal band, In Flames.
 
What is something about you that we might be surprised to know?

As seen in country music star Jason Aldean’s music video “Any Ol’ Barstool”.

 

What inspired you to begin your fitness journey?
I’ve always been intrigued with how our bodies adapt to the obstacles(both good and bad) we throw at them. About 8 years ago I started training regularly and never looked back.
 
Has your motivation changed? If so, what continues to motivate you to move forward?

As cheesy as it may sound, “health is wealth”, so why wouldn’t I continue to invest into myself?

 

What is the best thing that has happened to you as a result of prioritizing your health?
My fitness journey has had its fair share of bumps in the road, and I’ve learned so much about myself both mentally and physically that I wouldn’t have otherwise!

 

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

How do you fit exercise into your schedule?
My workout schedule on tour is inconsistent to say the least, but I always try to find a gym nearby to go get a workout in before the show. If that isn’t possible, I use resistance bands and bodyweight exercises to get the job done. Nowadays, I’m working out at home.

 

What is your favorite way to exercise?

The past few months I’ve been lifting less weight and incorporating more cardio and regular stretching into my workouts(shoutout Peloton). As an avid surfer, this has given me the extra power and mobility to really elevate my surfing!

 
If money was no object, what would your ideal day look like?

Travelling and surfing the best spots around the world with my friends and family.

 
What is your favorite meal, healthy or not so healthy?

I am a BIG fan of Mediterranean food... this question made me hungry!

What is on your fitness playlist?

Angry music...Hardcore, Metal, Hip Hop.

 
 

Is there anything else you would like to tell the world about yourself?
I’m kind of a big gamer.
